About the role

As a Customer Solution Field Engineer, you will be a critical point of contact for our VVIP customers, ensuring their IFE systems operate flawlessly throughout daily operations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of Panasonic IFEC/CMS systems, Lufthansa Technik “nice” systems, and your strong engineering or maintenance background to troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain these sophisticated systems. You will work both remotely and on-site, often under tight deadlines, demonstrating high flexibility and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support for daily operations of customized, integrated IFEC and CMS systems at customer sites
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead complex system upgrades and software updates to ensure optimal performance and compliance
  • Manage and technically resolve warranty cases efficiently, liaising with internal teams and external partners as needed
  • Support the maintenance organization by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance
  • Work remotely or on-site to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues swiftly, including urgent cases requiring short-notice travel
  • Support and contribute to IFEC/CMS system implementation projects and deployment programs
  • For the product “Technical Services” support to develop tailored customer offerings matching customer demand to ensure smooth operation
  • Document service activities, technical findings, and lessons learned to improve future operations and customer satisfaction

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Panasonic In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) / Cabin Management Systems (CMS) / Connectivity Systems
  • Proven expertise with Lufthansa Technik “Nice” System is highly preferred
  • Strong engineering or maintenance background within aerospace, avionics, or related technical fields
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with a passion for solving complex technical puzzles and challenges
  • Ability to work independently and under time critical schedule to meet customer expectations
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally both planned and on short notice, including overnight stays at customer facilities and our production facilities in Hamburg/Germany and Irvine / USA
  • Excellent communication skills in English both working on-site and remotely; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
