Change in Executive Board of IDAIR GmbH in Hamburg, Germany

The company’s Advisory Board has appointed Gordon Weller to the Executive Board. After three years and a half of successful service, Luigi Celmi will be succeeded by Gordon Weller as Chief Executive Officer.

After successful team build up and business growth Luigi Celmi will take a new role within the aviation industry.

Gordon Weller, of Canadian origin, has been in the aviation industry over 23 years. Before joining IDAIR he founded his own company specialized in home automation. Gordon also held several management positions at Lufthansa Technik lastly as Head of Aftermarket and Customized Solutions. “We are delighted to announce Gordon as our new CEO, a strong and visionary leader with a proven track record of putting customers at the center of every decision. With his passion for innovation, Gordon will open new opportunities for IDAIR and its valued business partners. We are excited to work with him as we continue deliver bespoke solutions for our customers” says Christiane Grude, Chair of the IDAIR Board.

As someone who has worked in the industry for many years and lived in various countries, I am aware of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the IFEC sector. With the newly developed modular IFE system, we will play a pivotal role in redefining the standard for VIP aircraft. The system is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of our customers. Our international team brings a wealth of experience that will help us to launch our product successfully and enter new markets.
