About the role
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to organize and coordinate our VVIP programs. Under the direction of IDAIR’s Director of Program Management and Customer Service and in close cooperation with other Program Managers, plan, organize and manage assigned VVIP programs in overseeing and coordinating the development, testing, and delivery of VVIP IFE and CMS programs.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience as Program Manager (5+ years), ideally successfully managing IFE and/or CMS programs.
The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our customers and our organization – in time, in budget and in quality.
Responsibilities
- Planning and designing the program, proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Defining the program's governance arrangements
- Managing the program's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses
- Managing third party contributions to the program, e.g. development services and/or hardware deliveries
- Managing communications with all stakeholders
- Managing risks to the program's successful outcome
- Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise
- Reporting the progress of the program at regular intervals to the Director of Programs and/or IDAIR Management team
- Recognizing potentials and managing creating change request (CR) and track CR completion progress
- Overseeing testing activities and progress, managing readiness reviews and execution of acceptance test procedures with customers in accordance with the agreed program schedule
- Continuously gaining market knowledge and adapting to changing environment
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business administration or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial IFE integration, aircraft completion / modification or comparable
- Aviation background favorable
- Proven experience in program management
- Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
- Proven stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage high expectations and demands from VVIP clients, high customer centric attitude
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple programs
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Good knowledge of program and project management methods, agile frameworks, good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programs
- Familiarity with JIRA Atlassian Project Tracking Software
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Proven experience managing and working with a cross-functional team
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations (occasionally at short notice)
- Languages: fluent English, German a plus
